I went to gaol

Yes gaol the old spelling not a jail the modern spelling. It has been nearly 100 years since the last prisoner left Ruthin Gaol. The local council has now turned it into a museum. They bought it to use as offices decades ago.

There is enough space in the old exercise yard and entrance for to hold a market.  I had a lovely shady corner on a hot day that meant it did not matter that I forgot the sun cream.

It was a long time since I had had the gazebo out. It has been 2 years since I went to a carnival. I had forgotten how to put it up oops. I was thankful for kind neighbours. It was lovely to have enough space to set up 3 tables. The challenge was trying to work out how to fit them in the car together with the gazebo and still leave room for the things I wanted to sell.

The plan for having a clothes rail on a table worked well and I was able to show off the aprons while having some space for the T-shirts. The fun with a market stall is that you never know what you are going to find until you get there. You look at the space you are allocated and have to think quickly to work out what direction people are coming from and how to position the tables.

I tried an experiment but I am not sure how well it worked. I had enough blue sheets to cover all the tables but decided to use a magenta sheet for one table. It made sense to me as that was for the books and bookmarks and the colour matches the sister site to this one. Looking at the pictures it would have been better if I had bought 3 blue ones. Notice something about that blue, it matches the blue colour used on this website.  Matching colours is important to me.

Something I did not notice until I saw the pictures. One of the legs of the gazebo was straight. I will have to watch that next time I use it.
